Hall Shows

The most important component of the gardening presentation at national and state garden shows is the so-called hall shows. During the entire run of the garden show, various themes on the cultivation of decorative plants will be presented at the highest quality level. The presentation will occur in a temporary or permanent exhibition hall or in a green house. The surface area is about 9,300 ft2 to 14,000 ft2 (1,000 to 1,500 m2) for state garden shows and 18,600 ft2 to 37,200 ft2 (2,000 to 4,000 m2) for national garden shows.

Representative surveys at the State Garden Show in Kaiserslautern, but also at state garden shows in neighboring states, have demonstrated again and again in what high regard the visitors hold the hall show. In the top ten highlights, the hall show always ranked in the top three.

The course of the hall show program will be theme-oriented. The four elements “Earth,” “Air,” “Fire,” and “Water” will be in the forefront as changing leitmotifs. In 12 to 15 individual events using this theme, the regional businesses will demonstrate their gardening and floristic skills. An attempt will be made to divide the hall into 2 sections, so that, even during a rearrangement phase (1 to 3 days maximum), one section will always be open for visitors.
